Branson, Sir Richard

Branson, Sir Richard
(b. 1950) Gen Mgt
British entrepreneur. Chairman of the Virgin Group, whose dominant corporate strategy has been to enter a variety of industries and challenge the existing leaders, using his flair for publicity. This diversification strategy is balanced by that of limiting risk. Branson’s approach is explained in Losing My Virginity: The Autobiography (1998).
